Urban Tumbleweeds
Garbage has become a feature of the environment in today’s cities. To
artists Jan van der Asdonk, Guus Baggermans, and Brian Garret Schuur,
garbage is invading our streets like modern tumbleweeds. To illustrate this
phenomenon, the artists created Urban Tumbleweeds using trash they
found in the streets of Düsseldorf and Eindhoven, Germany. Each tumbleweed offers much detail on the differences between the two cities. What
would an Urban Tumbleweed from another continent look like?
