Peter Kinney’s paintings appear in
his book Earth, Moon, and Sun. He lives
in Pennsauken, New Jersey, and regularly
exhibits at Philadelphia’s Highwire Gallery.
Richard Louv is the author of Last Child
in the Woods, chairman of the Children &
Nature Network, and recipient of the 2008
Audubon Medal. He lives in San Diego.
Documentary photographer Jonathan
Olley’s awards include two first-place
prizes from the World Press Photo contest. His publications include Castles of
Ulster and Kosovo. He is based in London.
Mary Rose O’Reilley writes poetry,
essays, and fiction. Her books include Half
Wild and The Love of Impermanent Things.
She lives in Saint Paul.

Roger Pinckney of Daufuskie Island,
South Carolina, is a fourth-generation
waterman. His second novel, By the Rivers
of Babylon, is due out in June.
F. Daniel Rzicznek’s second collection of
poems, Divination Machine, is forthcoming
in 2009. He teaches English composition
at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Sierra poet and essayist Gary Snyder
has just finished his second collaboration
with print artist Tom Killion. His essay in
this issue is adapted from Tamalpais
Walking, which will be out from Heyday
Press in March.
Sonja Thomsen is a photographer and
educator based in Milwaukee. Her series
of photographs is part of an interactive
installation titled lacuna.
Katrina Vandenberg is the author
of Atlas, a finalist for the Minnesota
Book Award. She recently completed a
poet residency at the Amy Clampitt House
in Lenox, Massachusetts. She lives in
Saint Paul.
